Today I discussed more potential ideas for 4 vines which will be beaded on each topic of the show. Graffiti, Politics, Domestic Violence and Body Image, are the 4 topics of for the show and I had the idea to create a vine for each one just saying a little about the topic, what part of it we'll be talking about and when to refer to the show to allow viewers to get a update on the show.
Graffiti
For this I thought about doing a posh art/painters V street artists.
also I wanted to do dub step v classical music, this will be to identify the two types of art
Domestic Violence
For this vine i want to subtly show someone who has been deistically abused without showing it happen. Also I want it to look as if something else is happening then see if people see it as domestic violence.
Politics
For this vine i have a simple idea of showing someone voting and the voting card show statistics of young, middle aged and senior voters. They will cross out young voters and post their vote.
Body Image
For this vine I had the idea to have a montage of before and after pictures of people photo shopped, to show what it can do.

Studio Production - Show Name Ideas
Today we discussed possible names for the show, Helen had originally came up with the name "What You Sayin'" however this didn't sit well with more of the group, so she told us to come up with a new one. The promotional team took lead on this, we all started by looking at other names for TV show similar to ours;

From looking at other TV talk show names we realised that all the name are simple and easy to remember. We then looked at different social medias and tried to combine some to make a cleaver, we came up with the following names;
- Interchatter
- What You Chattin'
- Texts Talks
- Whats Your Say
- What You Sayin'
After coming up with some potential names we presented them to the call for a vote, the vote was for Interchatter but only by 2 or 3 votes and half the class wasn't happy with it. After a while of people disagreeing with the name, Helen then decided to stick with the original name (What You Sayin') as we were spending too much time on it and we couldn't agree.
Overall I'm a little annoyed that it took long time to agree on a name as we needed to design the logo and get on with more important stuff, however I'm pretty pleased with the name as I thought it was better than the suggested ones.

Studio Production - Logo Ideas
We need to design a logo for the show, we still don't have a finalised name for it however we need to decided on a definite logo. We need to decide on; colours, style, font and information.
I looked at some examples of other TV logos to see what they have. Every show has their own distinctive style, colours and font that on their own people would still know what show it is. From this we need the same characteristics to make our logo unique, stand out and identifiable.
We looked at some colour swatches that Charlie bought in and tried to make some good combinations.
Helen told us she wanted colure that would interest and look young for young viewers, she wanted purples, oranges, greens or blues. With this in mind we came up with the following combinations;
- Purple, white and blue
- Orang, purple and white
- Green, purple and white
- Blue, purple and white
As you can see purple is a must, we all came to a vote and chose green, purple and white.
For the style of the logo Helen wanted it to appeal to a young audience, so we decided a social media style would best fit for young people, as most young people are using multiple social media sites. Fort the social media we could base it on;
- Texting
However as most of the social media sites have copy write issues we went with texting, as everyone texts.
For the font we looked at loads and loads of different type of font and we all wanted something bold, big and easy to read if you were scrolling though a social media site and pasted it. We came up with this font.
We liked this font but wanted it bolder, so we put into photoshop and made it bolder, fatter, and made it purple. Lex then finished if of by pixelating the letters.
Studio Production - Creating the Logo
Today Lex and I set to design the logo for the show, we had all the preferred colours and ideas, also a finalised name for the show. The design was a silhouette of a man and a speech bubble coming out of this mouth, like a text message bubble, with the words, "What You Sayin". Lex created the first half putting in the silhouette and speech bubble onto a plain green background. He cut round them to ensure they are smooth, he then, after we decided on a font, imported the words in the speech bubble and made them slightly pixilated at the end of each letter. I then took over and created a drop shadow around the speech bubble to make it more 3D and stand out. I then kind of by mistake created a new background when Ruby suggested I put the silhouette on an angle instead on straight on. I place it in the bottom left corner and by doing so it dragged the background with it showing a different shade go green behind it, I liked this so kept it. I also changed the colour of the speech bubble to white and the text to purple as it made the words stand out more also we couldn't have a blue speech bubble like and iMessage because of copy write issues.
I like the logo but if I had to create it again I would have put a little bit more information on it, like a tag line under neither the speech bubble. Also maybe some things which link to social media, since the show is based on what people are talking about on social media. However I still like it, we showed it to the class and everyone liked it and didn't want anything changing.
Studio Production - Vine 2 Ideas
For my second vine I had some ideas for an introduction to the host of the show, a mini onsite to who he is, to make viewers more intrigued into watching. One idea is to have the host appear on a sofa all blacked out, then for a burst of colours would flash over the shadow, until we see the logo over the shadow. The host would then step inform of the logo and be reviled. This idea would have a few down falls as the idea with the flashing lights would be difficult to make the log appear over the shadow and stay there as the host steps out in front of it.
My second idea and favourite is to have a sofa in the middle of a dark room with to bright lights shining towards the camera, then a silhouette would walk on behind the sofa and walk past it. Then it would stop at the end and come round and sit on the sofa. Then the words, "Meet Our Host..." would fly on the screen, then the back lights would go out and a spot light would turn on the silhouette reviling the host to the show. The words, "...Jamie Terry" would appear below him.
This idea I like better and I got better feedback from Aimee so I think I will go with this idea and write the script and see how I will go about shooting it.

Script Writing for Teaser - Inspiration
As I don't have much work to do at the moment I have decide to create some of my own so that I still have an input in the team. I came up with the idea to do a mini sort of trailer, just to show a bit about the show and tease viewers by showing them a little about the show and make them want to watch.
Aimee, Helena and I agreed that this would be a good thing for me to do as long as it was around 20 to 30 seconds long. I spoke to lex who's creating the trailer and we came up with the idea for the beginning for his trailer to start with the ending of my teaser. The idea is that Lex's trailer will start with someone looking at their phone at a video, so we are going to make the video he's looking at the teaser that I will make with a play symbol on it like they've just finished watching.
I've been looking as some promo/teasers from other TV shows to get a good idea of what kind of things go in to them.
Looking at these I've learnt that a good teaser needs to grab the audience from the start and make them curious to watch on. During the teaser it needs to be informative and interesting, just a little detail about the show not too much to ruin it, and a concept that is interesting and enjoyable. From these points I need to create a teaser that makes people curious, interested and entertained.
