Digital News Production - Editing the Graphics

After completing the presenter green screen i moved on the creating a graphics for the Lodge Hill scene, this would be for the statement when it read out from charlie, this will be more interesting than watching someone read it out, and also will make out show look better, more factual and professional. 

I frist on final cut pro blurred the footage of charlie reading out the statement, i then used the typewriter effect and divided the statement into two parts and wrote them over there blurred background. I lined it up to the pace of charlie's speech so it would run smooth. I then exported it and imported it into after effects.

Using the land securities logo to so viewer can identify who they are, i placed this in the top right hand corner of the clip.

Then the the bottom right corner i put out twitter page. This is so viewer know where to follow us and find more news. 

I then did the same for the second half of the statement. Also i added in the spokesman text as i forgot to do it on final cut so thought id do it on after effects. 

After finishing i re-imported it into final cut, reposition it and added the sound track back under it.

Overall i am very placed at the outcome. The only things i would change it i had to is to out more info about our news channel, i.e. out Facebook and webpage. Also i would have found somewhere for our logo to go, i would have put it in however the rest of the group thought is would be better not to. I've learnt a hell of a lot form all these ager effects sessions and unlocked a skill set that i never thought i would learn and have.

I then added some graphics to the ending credit of the show. This was very easy as all i did was blur there background and add in two different types of text and entered the information i wanted. I did the same for the next clip.

With the last clip i imported it into after effects. 

I then imported the Facebook, twitter, youtube and our logo.

I then neatly lined them up in a line under the text, like so.

After under each logo i wrote out pages for all the sites. I.e. Facebook page, website ect. 

After i re-imported it into final cut and lined it back up and queued up the music.

Overall this was a very easy thing to do and it looked very good and I'm pleased with the work i did. If i had to change something it would be the text font for the kent nature news, its ok but looking back now i wish i choose a different one. I've learnt so much thougth out these after effect session, i am now confident that if i put my mind to it i can do almost anything.
