I loked at the BBC music and found that is was too formal for what i wanted for our show. However i don;t want it too far away from it as it is still a news channel and we cash have formal music and still be a local news show.
I looked at this music track and its a bit more like what i pictured as its not too formal but not informal. It has a catchy jingle and it's too dramatic.
I looked at ITV's music track and thought that it was far too dramatic for what i would want for our channel.
In conclusion I sent out an advert for a composer on music network pro, a similar site to casting call pro.
On the advert i put what were all about and what we are looking for in terms of music.
I messaged Frazer and a couple more composers that have come out of uni and are looking for experience and show reel footage.
He messaged back saying he would be delighted to do the sound design and would work on it the following day. He then emailed me personally and asked for the intro footage and the coming up footage, so that he could work to the timing and style of the show. I set him the files and am awaiting excitingly for what he comes back with. In the mean time i will look for more music incase his doesn't fit what we want.
Overall i am very placed that someone has said that they will try and make a sound design, however on the other hand i am nervous, as if it's not good then i will struggle to find a good music track that fits. Next time i should work on this a lot earlier so i can send out more adverts and look for more tracks.
